Regional​ innovative​ cluster for agrifood – RIAV is a system of companies and public and private entities operating in several sectors and able to develop a set of initiatives and projects relevant to the regional economy. The companies are part of the agrifood chain and cover every step from production to marketing.
The key words are innovation and research.

RIAV is open to all companies that have innovative projects compatible with its objectives.

Vision

The objective of RIAV is to involve the wine, oil, fruit and vegetable, milk and dairy and confectionery industries in a multisectoral network.

A system to foster integration and networking oriented towards competitive development in complementary sectors, from processing to service provision, promoting investment in research and technology transfer and organising training courses for the creation of highly qualified personnel.

This innovative approach is realised through the use of state-of-the-art technologies, aimed at improving product and packaging quality, certifying traceability and safety, and increasing energy and environmental sustainability.

The internationalisation of the participating companies is one of the aims of the association, which through a scientific analysis of the markets and the different consumers aims to get its members’ products all over the world.

RIAV Consortium

The RIAV Consortium is the legal entity representing RIAV.

It was established on 18.03.2022 by notarial deed and consists of:

  • Coverfil Consortium
  • Confindustria Veneto SIAV S.p.A. – Service company of Confindustria Veneto
  • Univeneto: a foundation between the Universities of Padua, Ca’ Foscari and I.U.A.V. of Venice, and Verona

The purpose of the RIAV Consortium is to represent the Veneto Innovative Food Network – RIAV in relations with the Veneto Region and other public administrations, and to contribute to promotion and development activities through innovative institutional and public actions.

CL.A.N.

RIAV participates in the Cl.uster A.grifood N.azionale (CL.A.N.) (CL.A.N.), a partnership of companies, research centres, territorial representatives and relevant stakeholders in the agrifood supply chain, set up to promote sustainable economic growth based on research and innovation, and to act as a single interlocutor for national and European institutions.

The group has over 80 members, including large and medium-sized companies, universities and research centres, business associations, technological districts, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders active in the agrifood sector.
